82 songs submitted to Belarus TV for JESC 2008
On 20th March BRTC held the preliminary selection of the songs that will have the chance to get the ticket for the JESC 2008 in Lemesos. A professional jury headed by the well-known Belarus performer of Belarus Vasily Rainchik selected 20 songs, which will take part in the semi-final. Belarus TV recieved 82 submissions. Here are the 20 semi-finalists:

06. Polina Dutchik and Mikhail Sosunov (duo) “Ginny” (Brest);
07. Cyril Yermakov “I Sing it for You” (Minsk);
08. Dmitry Yermuzevich, “All of us are Children of the Earth” (Gomel);
09. Nikita Zhurovich “Dreaming” (Lelchitsy, Gomel region);
10. Alina Konareva “Magic Dreams” (Vitebsk);
11. Serafima Kuznetsova “Don’t Give Up” (Vitebsk);
12. Irina Kulagina “Midsummer Song” (Lepel, Vitebsk region);
13. Maria Lemeshevskaya “SMS MMS” (Kobrin, Brest region);
14. Ekaterina Mezhennaya “Pin Codes” (Minsk);
15. Darya Mikhailova “Ode to Jazz” (Vitebsk);
16. Alina Moshchenko “Time” (Mogilev);
17. Darya, Karina, Alina “Heart of Belarus”
18. Darya Soroko “So-Da-Super Star” (Minsk);
19. Alexandra Stelmakh “Young RNB” (Grodno);
20. Darya Shulgina “Dancing, Dancing” (Grodno)

The semifinalists met yesterday with the jury for auditions and consultations. The semifinal will take place at the end of May and will broadcasted on Belarus TV1. The final of the national contest will take place in September 2008. The winner of the national contest will be defined by the telephone vote of the audience and vote of the jury.
