LIKE A WOMAN

Nicole (18), is from Pafos and has been singing in public since the age of 8. She has won many competitions and has reached the Cyprus Junior Eurovision Final twice.  She sings live regularly and has made several TV chat show appearances. Nicole has just been accepted at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA where she will be studying voice performance and many other aspects of music from September 2010.

Nicole went to London in October for auditions held by Mike Connaris and was thrilled to be chosen as his singer. Nicole then returned to London to record “Like A Woman”, the song composed especially for her.

Mike Connaris was born in London. Mike played in band called Blue for 15 years and then moved into music production as a composer/producer and has his own company called Mcasso Music.

In 2004, Mike auditioned a young half-Cypriot girl who was 16 – a girl called Lisa Andreas – and was so impressed with her voice wrote a song especially for her called “Stronger Every Minute”. It won the Cyprus National Final and represented Cyprus in Eurovision 2004 in Istanbul, Turkey, finishing in 5^th position. The back up juries from each country actually made “Stronger Every Minute” the Eurovision winning song, and Mike was awarded “The Composer Award”, voted for by the composers from all the other countries.

Mike is now back in the Cyprus National Final 2010 with a new song called, “Like A Woman” sung by a young girl from Pafos called Nicole Paparistodemou. Mike says, “I believe I have found the singer that can change Cyprus’ fate in Eurovision. Like Lisa, she has an extraordinary talent and if she can win the National Final, she can not only reach the Eurovision Final for Cyprus, but actually go on to win it.”
