Second rehearsal in Oslo done and dusted

Sunday saw the 2nd rehearsal on stage for Jon Lilygreen and the Islanders. Jon was very excited to be on the stage at the Telenor Arena saying ‘he’d missed it’. Vocally the band are all on top form. The lighting on stage is a subtle mix of shades of blue and light brown and orange colours, which suit the rhythm of the song.

After the rehearsal, the Cyprus Delegation had their press conference where Jon joked that it would be great to have a wind machine! On eurovision.tv it says “Jon was asked if he had every played in front of a large crowd before to which he replied, "I played in Cardiff City Hall in front of 450 farmers". That went down a storm with the people in the room!”

At the end of the press conference the group did what they did and sang to the room, encouraging the press to sing along with them.

Sunday night saw the official  ‘welcome party’ at the Oslo Town Hall.

On Saturday, Cyprus performed on the open air stage at the Eurovision Village in Oslo. Jon and the group played the song to a massive crowd who were not put off by pouring rain. The crowd were encouraged to sing along to Jon’s song which is wrote about his Eurovision experience.

On Saturday night the Cyprus Delegation attended the party organised by OGAE Greece and OGAE Cyprus.
